This richly patterned vessel is  turned from spalted ambrosia maple.  As it a result, this 21 cubic inch lidded hollow form has unique patterns, colors, shading and textures.  The spalting results in black wavy streaks, while the ambrosia brings brown and gray wavy stripes and textures including the Ambrosia Beetle tracks and holes.  It has a Chechen ring and a delicate Redheart finial.

All dimensions are approximate.  Wood swells and contracts throughout the year depending on temperature and humidity.  While wood used for screw-on tops is typically stabilized to minimize seasonal movement, pressure fitted tops can fit tightly or loosely depending on conditions.  We recommend gluing the top (with a couple of drops of CA super glue) if you wish to ensure a top fitting cap that will not lift off easily regardless of the time of the year.  We do not recommend using the finial as a handle, not only are they delicate, but a pressured fit - even with a couple of  drops of glue - can easily dislodge.

Used urns may not be returned under any circumstances. As soon as cremains enter the urn, the urn is considered used.
