This beautifully crafted decorative lidded hollow form serves as both an exquisite piece of art and a heartfelt memorial. Handcrafted with care and attention to detail, this lidded vessel is perfect for display on a mantel, shelf, or in a special nook, it is not just a decorative piece—it's a source of comfort and remembrance.
This lidded hollow form is turned from Norfolk Island Pine (NIP), a tropical coniferous native to the South Pacific but now commerically cultivated in southern coastal areas of the US. It has a rich creamy color ranging from a pale yellow to a light brown shading. The branch knotting seen in this vessel results when branches grow from the trunk of the tree and later become incorporated into the wood structure as it develops.
Overall, this vessel has 28 cubic inch capacity and has Chakte Viga ring and African Blackwood finial.

Dimensions: Body 5"W x 6" H; the ring and finial are approximately 2 1/2"
All dimensions are approximate. Wood swells and contracts throughout the year depending on temperature and humidity. While wood used for screw-on tops is stabilized to minimize seasonal movement, pressure fitted tops can fit tightly or loosely depending on conditions. We recommend gluing the top (with a couple of drops of CA super glue) if you wish to ensure a top fitting cap that will not lift off easily regardless of the time of the year. We do not recommend using the finial as a handle, not only are they delicate, but a pressured fit - even with a couple of drops of glue - can easily dislodge.
Special Note: While it is often estimated that one pound of body weight results in approximately one cubic inch of ash, it is important to note that this can vary based on factors such as the individual's body composition, the cremation process, and other factors. For precise measurements, it’s always good to consult with a crematory service or a funeral professional providing cremation services. While we sell a variety of urn sizes, most hollow forms can only accommodate partial ash remains and are commonly used for sharing ash remains of loved one.
Used urns may not be returned under any circumstances. As soon as cremains enter the urn, the urn is considered used.
